Manchester United have unveiled their third kit for the 2018/2019 season.
“Adidas football has today revealed Manchester United’s third kit for the 2018/19 season,” the club announced on their official website on Friday.
“The new shirt is inspired by the 50th anniversary of United’s historic first European Cup win – the first for any English team in the competition.
“The new navy blue jersey takes its cue from the royal blue kit worn by Sir Matt Busby’s men in their victory over Benfica at Wembley in May 1968.
“The Portuguese were beaten 4-1 after extra-time, thanks to goals from Sir Bobby Charlton (2), George Best and Brian Kidd, and the gold detailing on the adidas logo and club crest pays direct homage to that magical success.
“The jersey has been created from Parley Ocean Plastic® in partnership with Parley for the Oceans. As well as creating awareness of the issue of plastic in our oceans, adidas and Parley also create footwear and clothing from upcyled plastic waste intercepted from shorelines, beaches and in coastal communities.”

Richard Arnold, Group Managing Director of Manchester United, said:
“It’s great to be able to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the club’s first European Cup win. This jersey represents an important moment for our club – when we became the first English team to win the competition.
“Adidas continues to demonstrate how forward thinking they are. We are all acutely aware of the threat of plastic to the environment and we are delighted to be able to raise further awareness with this recycled kit, which I am sure the fans will love.”

Next season’s third kit will be worn on the pitch for the first time by the first team during their summer tour of the United States.

Kanye West is the most recent celebrity to be boycotted for recent controversy. His recent comments on slavery sounding "like a choice" was met with outrage, to say the least. People can argue that he has the right to free speech and his opinion, however, he was pretty much stating false information on a major platform.

Now, people are taking their boycott to a much more serious degree as they want Adidas to drop Kanye West and Yeezy entirely.

Kanye West's Yeezy brand is one of the most successful clothing brands out right now but his personality is deterring people from even wanting to buy it. A new petition on Care2 is urging Adidas to drop Kanye West and Yeezy. 'Ye's Yeezy brand was initially done as a collaboration with Nike before he went to Adidas for a much more promising partnership.
"While Kanye can live safely in his multi-million dollar castle, the rest of black America is continually marginalized and subject to unjust laws and treatment. Some even die because this behavior is so ingrained in our society,"
The petition says.
"Kanye West has a right to free speech, and he has the right to spout lies and misinformation and misplaced opinions — but we as consumers have the right to fight back against this type of dangerous propaganda."
At this point, Adidas has yet to make any statement towards Kanye West's comments on slavery or the petition but we'll keep you updated.

One of the world's most successful footballers of all time, Lionel Messi, has received his new Adidas custom boots as it gets delivered in a spectacular fashion.

Lionel Messi received his new Nemeziz Cold Blooded Adidas boots at an event on Friday

These are the photos showing the moment Lionel Messi received his new Adidas boots in spectacular fashion on Friday as the stunning custom footwear was delivered by drone.

According to Daily Mail UK, Messi was presented the Nemeziz Cold Blooded boots at the Club Montjuic of the Palau Sant Jordi of Barcelona.

The boots were delivered to the Barcelona star via a drone as Adidas wowed in the unveiling

The 30-year-old Barcelona ace was guest of honour at the sponsors event and they took the boot unveiling to the next level.

And while Messi was more than happy to pose with his new boots, the attacker also provided a once-in-a-lifetime moment for the young men who joined him on stage - smiles all round.

Messi has showed no signs his career is ready to slow down and he played a central role for Barcelona as they progressed to the Copa del Rey semi-finals on Wednesday with a 2-0 home win over Espanyol.

He added the crucial second goal on the night after Luis Suarez had opened the scoring for the Catalans.

And his part in the Espanyol win brought with it further history for the star as his goal was Barcelona's 4,000th at the Camp Nou in official competition.

With Cristiano Ronaldo enduring a frustrating season with rivals Real Madrid, Messi has flourished and this term has already seen the Argentine surpass Gerd Muller as Europe's top scorer with a single club.

Barcelona discovered that they will face Valencia in the semi-finals of the cup competition as Ernesto Valverde's side plot a treble-trophy haul before the end of the season.

With Philippe Coutinho brought in for a club record £145m from Liverpool this month, Messi has more creativity looking to put him through on goal and he may go on to break further records - perhaps in his new boots - before the campaign concludes.
