There was a thunderous ovation amidst anointing and miracles in the atmosphere; at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Phase two, Site one, Kubwa, Abuja; during their Drama Theatre's ministration recently.
The groundbreaking drama which was titled "King Igbudu" tells the touching story of a powerful ruler and dictator called King Igbudu (played by Elochukwu Ezeumeanya). The king was extremely powerful and had both religious, political and judicial powers. He subjected all the inhabitants of his Kingdom and beyond to worship and adore him as their god.
And if anyone goes contrary to that, he slaughters such victim or orders the person to be thrown into the lake of fire. He made his palace the supreme court where all cases are resolved; of which he was the judge and perverts justice at will. King Igbudu also had spiritual powers to appear and disappear. He conquered all nations and kingdoms that have ever engaged in battle with him. His power, fame, wealth and influence grew to the extent of making Kings and Queens of other nations, consecrating Priests and Bishops, gifting teachers professorship and more.
People commenced traveling from all the parts of the world with their problems and heavy laden to seek solution at the feet of this powerful king; such as a man with leprosy (played by Ikechukwu Ogbu) who was healed of his disease with this King's medicine administered by his right hand man and Chief of Amry (played by Greg Ogochukwu) who is the only access to the king and dispenses King's instructions.
The king also clothed a tattered lady (played Blessing Benjamin) who had no clothes with expensive dresses and money.
He declared Operation feed the world from his inexhaustible barn because of a hungry lady (played by Osunlana Oluwafemi) who came to palace in need of food.
There was also a case of an uneducated lady (played by Adaeze Odogwu) who came in search first degree, he crowned her with degrees up to Ph.D. level.
One day, a barren woman (played by Vivian Amah) came for a child. The king did all he could to give her a child, but all to no avail. He was so furious, palpitating up and down. At the verge of his brags, a loud voice of God (played by Obinna Akalazu) came with wild wind from heaven and bent him into submission.
Immediately, an angel (played by David kings) appeared and gave the barren woman a beautiful baby girl (played by baby Goodness Ibeagha) King Igbudu and his Chief of Army surrendered with rivers of tears to Almighty God who alone can really do all things indeed; Who alone can give and take life. And that was where the curtains drew.
The drama ministration indeed planted a tremendous fear and trembling before the Lord in the atmosphere as cries and applause were heard from the audience. The drama stage was managed by Ifeoluwa Oyesina, while the custumiers were Greg Ogochukwu and Osunlana Omolola. The drama "King Igbudu" was written by Vivian Amah and directed by Obinna Akalazu.
The Thanksgiving Service which had in attendance over 1000 worshippers comes up at the end of the every month as a tradition for the church; and thus the theme of the drama was "God of all Possibilities" drawn from Matthew 19:26 of the Holy Bible.
Other programmes of the Service were a soul lifting sermon by Venerable Barr. Tunde Oyesina, who is the Vicar in charge of the church and Kubwa Anglican Archdeaconry. Plus electrifying praises and worship by a guest artiste; Kelechi Nnam and the St Andrews angelic Choir.
The Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr Saleh Dunoma, says the newly inaugurated international terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, was designed give maximum comfort to air travelers.
Dunoma, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Sunday in Abuja.
He explained that the facility provided in the new terminal would ensure speedy processing of passengers with a lot of ease.
He assured that both the airlines and passengers would experience a great difference compared to what they were used to in the old terminal in terms of space and passengers’ processing equipment.
According to him, FAAN is committed to meeting the needs arising from the expected increase in the number of passengers and aircraft movement by proving adequate manpower.
“You have gone through that terminal a number of times and you have seen the level of comfort apart from speedy processes because of the number of facilities that are provided.
“We expect that each and every passenger will see the difference in terms of facilitation and comfort and also the speed at which we will be processing passengers.
“The expectation is that it will take only very few minutes for you to go through either departure or arrival process.
“We are not going to shut down any part of the airport, it is going to be a combined effort.
“The old terminal will handle the domestic and sub-regional operations while the new terminal will handle international operations.
“We have plans to improve the standard of the existing terminal because as soon as the international operations move to the new terminal, we will have more space to commence work on the old terminal,’’ he said.
Dunoma disclosed that international airlines might not move into the new facility immediately, saying the airlines were waiting for the terminal to be inaugurated before they could start planning their operations there.
According to him, they need a little time to plan their operations and their passengers also need to be informed so that they don’t create confusion.
“So any airline that is ready, will move in to process the passengers that are in there so that we don’t create confusion,’’ he added.
The managing director also disclosed that work was in progress in the remaining two terminals in Lagos and Kano, adding that the unpaid counterpart funding was available to enable the contractor to perform.
The former Regional General Manager, North Central, FAAN, Mr. Chris Bature, who was the pioneer supervising airport manager of the project, commended the Federal Government for its completion.
Bature said with the intermodal connectivity of the terminal by rail, the government had been able to demonstrate a strong commitment toward developing modern transport infrastructure in the county.
He said the airport had recorded great improvement compared to what was on ground before he left in 2014 in terms of expansion and increase in capacity.
According to him, there were some challenges that were there and they bother mainly on facilitation of passengers.
“Now the new terminal has been completed, the capacity of the old terminal has increased and this has enabled them to handle more passengers and give room for more people,’’ he said.

The popular Banex Plaza located in Wuse 2, Abuja, was on Friday sealed off on the alleged order of a magistrate court.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) had gone to court asking for the vacation of the premises by Banex Plaza tenants.
Chibuike Nzedinma, Chairman, Banex Plaza Wuse 2 Tenants Association, told said the closure was uncalled for.
Mr Nzedinma said the board failed to officially notify them about the said court order.
“Some weeks back, the AEPB told us that they were going to use the plaza as a mobile court.
“But we could not see any mobile court on the said date, I personally went round to check but could not see, surprisingly, today (Friday) they sealed off some of our shops,” he said.
The chairman, who sued for calm, said they would seek redress in court for such an order to be vacated.
Also, Nkoli Unachukwu, a tenant, said such closure was detrimental to the economic development of the country.
Mrs Unachukwu said they had lost millions of Naira due to the closure.
She called on the federal government to intervene to prevent shut down of business in the plaza.
AEPB had allegedly demanded to use the premises for mobile court.

The Federal Government’s National Home Grown School Feeding Programme will commence in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in January with a target to feed 120,300 pupils.
Programme Manager, NHGSFP-FCT, Victoria Aleogena, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Wednesday.
Mrs Aleogena, who is also Deputy Director, School Health, FCT Education Secretariat, said the pupils would be drawn from 626 public primary schools across the six area councils of the FCT.
She said the pupils would be fed once daily with meals containing the six required nutrients from primary 1 to 3.
She urged vendors, community leaders and all stakeholders in the FCT to assist the federal government in lifting burdens off indigent parents who could not afford balanced diets for their wards.
“Hopefully, the school feeding programme will kick start in FCT come January 2019. But what we are currently doing is preparatory.
“We have done the state level sensitization and that was to tell the FCT residents that the programme is basically coming out.
“We are carrying everybody along, parents, teachers, traditional and community leaders who are the gatekeepers, and the vendors who will prepare the meals.
“It is a good thing that the Federal Government in its wisdom is feeding Nigerian pupils because it is happening in other states.
“The programme in FCT is for pupils in LEAs. In FCT we have 626 primary schools and as at 2018/2019 academic session we have 120,300 that will be benefitting from this programme from January,” she said.
She also gave the assurance that the process of selecting the 1,200 vendors needed to handle the feeding would be transparent and based on a high standard to ensure good hygiene.
“We have told the would-be vendors to go and collect forms. These forms are free, all they need to do is to get to the LEA secretary in the area councils and collect it.
“The only thing expected of them is to affix a passport photograph and that’s the only cost they will bear. They also need either a civil servant or a traditional ruler to attest for them.
“For the recruitment, we are in partnership with the Public Health Department of the FCT, they are responsible for the conduct of the food handler’s test. They have an international standard for the handling of public foods and this will be done purely on merit.
“This process will give us about 1,200 vendors to cover the six area councils of FCT based on their experience, track records and capacity. We normally engage extra vendors to take care of possible gaps when the programme starts running,’’ she said.
She said a feedback mechanism involving the head teachers, health teachers and the class teachers of each school was being put in place.
“We are in the process of training the head teachers, health teachers and class teachers in each school. These three people will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of the feeding in their respective schools.
“They are responsible for generation of data and information, punctuality of vendors and adherence to the meal timetable,’’ she said.
She said the meals would include bread and beans, egg and jollof rice, yam and sweet potato porridge, rice and beans with fish and various types of fruits.

There has been panic in Jikwoyi, Nyanya and Karu satellite areas of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, over some military fighter jets reportedly hovering over houses and creating deafening noises.
Some residents reportedly said that the jets had been combing the areas since Saturday in “a war-like manner.”
It was gathered that the military aircraft, said to be about seven, flew on Monday at low levels in the Three Arms Zone and Asokoro areas of Abuja, creating panic for passersby and people going about their business.
One of the eyewitnesses, who gave his name as Umar Bichi, said the noise of the military aircraft flying at low levels made communication impossible, while some people also scampered to safety because of the effect.
“We were in the office around 1pm when the fighter jets flew almost at a landing level. There were about seven of them which I counted. The noise was deafening and it created panic for everyone such that some people thought it was a terrorist attack,” Bichi said.
The Nigerian Air Force on Monday confirmed the deployment of fighter jets to fly around at low levels.
The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, said the deployment was meant for rehearsals of aerial display in Abuja ahead of the October 1 Independence Celebrations.
He said,
“The NAF will carry out aerial display as part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 58th anniversary celebration. Consequently, there will be movement of NAF aircraft within the Federal Capital Territory from Monday to October 2, as NAF pilots commence rehearsals for the occasion.
“Fighter aircraft will be flying at low levels during the rehearsals. The NAF therefore wishes to advise members of the public not to panic but to go about their normal business.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Bwari, Abuja, said on Monday that 5, 000 Permanent Voter Cards (PVC’s) were now ready for collection.
The INEC Electoral Officer, Mrs Idowu Olayemi, made this disclosure at a stakeholders’ meeting, organised by the commission in Abuja.
According to Olayemi, the 5, 730 PVCs that were ready for collection in six centres within the council, were for those who registered in 2017 only.
She explained that only those who registered in Bwari central and Kuduru wards should collect theirs at the Bwari INEC office.
She further explained that those who registered at Kubuwa- Byagyin, Dutse, Usuma and Ushafa wards should collect theirs at the distributing centres within the wards respectively.
Others, she added, are Shere, Kawu, Idu wards in the council.
Olayemi also noted that no one was permitted to collect the cards by proxy.
She said all registered voters must go to their various centres to collect their cards and they should not send anyone to collect the cards for them.
The officer also stated that the commission was still expecting more PVCs from the 2017 registration, as the cards were coming in batches.
She encouraged those who might not be able to collect theirs in the first batch to remain patient as all the cards would be available before the 2019 elections.
According to her, the exercise has so far not encountered any challenge but smooth with an impressive turnout on a daily basis.
Olayemi also said that the registration was ongoing until December or until further directive from the INEC headquarters to stop the exercise.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the security agencies in the council, political party executives and newsmen among others.
