Ace Nigerian singers Tuface Idibia, MI Abaga and Chidinma Ekile have lent their voices against vote-buying during the 2019 general elections, as they jointly released a single hit ‘Not For Sale’.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Teni D, Waje, Umar Shareef and Cobhams Asuguo also featured in the advocacy collaboration.
The song was directed by Bobby Hai, shot and edited by Paul Gambit and produced by Cobhams Asuquo.
‘Not for Sale’ lyrics entreat Nigerians not to sell their votes “because the power to change the nation for the better is in every one of us.”
It also encourages a non-violent electoral process by all stakeholders, especially the electorate as they come out to exercise their franchise.
NAN reports that Tuface, the ‘African Queen’ crooner, has over the years championed advocacy for a better society through his songs.
In 2015, he campaigned extensively for free, fair and peaceful polls with a song ‘Vote Not Fight’.
He had also released songs such as ‘For Instance’, and ‘E be like say’, all advocating for good political leadership and better society.

Nigerian pop singer, Adokiye in an interview spoke about not being in a relationship and when she was asked about getting intimate with the opposite sex, she said: “Haba, what is a young girl getting laid for, I’m still a virgin”
She had at the time also caused a social media storm by offering her virginity to Islamic militants Boko Haram in exchange for the return of hundreds of kidnapped schoolgirls.
However, the musician and actress from the country’s Imo State, who is also a UN Ambassador of Peace, took the protest to the next extreme.
“It is just unfair. They are too young. I wish I could offer myself in exchange,” she told Nigerian publication Vanguard.
“They are between 12 and 15-year-old girls for Christ sake. I am older and more experienced. Even if 10 to 12 men have to take me every night, I don’t care. Just release these girls and let them go back to their parents.”

The decency and moderateness of this beautiful short and sweet singer can make us believe that she really is – I personally would refer to her as the “Virgin Queen” Elizabeth I, that is if of course she is a virgin!

During an interview, some years back, she declared she has never been intimate with a man before.

SEYI HUNTER
Many had thought that Afro-pop singer, Adokiye, could possibly be the last of the virgins in the Nigerian entertainment industry after she declared it in a chat with Vanguard’s Potpourri.
But there were obviously others, at least one other, as Seyi Hunter also came out to declare she is a virgin as well.
When asked in a Vanguard interview about s-ex and money, which was more important to her in a relationship, the actress said:
I know nothing about s-ex, I’m a virgin. Money is more important to me in a relationship.

Yes, yes! You’re clamouring that she married now! We know she is too! Durrhh… But the gorgeous media personality deserves an honorary mention as according to her, she kept herself until after her marriage.
The OAP once revealed she’s never been intimate with a man before while answering questions via her Twitter page. She also confessed that one of her hips is artificial.
ANNABELLA ZWNYNDILA
Fast-rising actress and product of AMBO reality TV show – Adamawa State-born actress, Annabella Zwyndila told whom it may concern that her virginity is still intact despite massive s*xual harassment in the movie industry.
The Adamawa State-born actress even boasts that nothing would make her lose her virginity to another man except her husband.
She revealed this in an interview she granted which was published by the Sun, where she acknowledges the challenges are enormous, but there is no going back on her decision to remain a virgin.
She said:
“A role that is supposed to be yours is taken from you because of one or two requests that you can’t meet. So, s*xual harassment is not only in the movie industry.
It is everywhere… That side of me is dead until I get married. Aside avoiding pre-marital s*x, I am also a born again Christian and I fear God a lot. I can remember while we were growing up we had that lesson about s*xually transmitted diseases and the fear of all those things really kept me away from s*x. So, if I must have a relationship we must enter into an agreement of no s*x.”
Chidinma Ekile, has been struggling to stay relevant in the music industry since leaving her former record company, Capital Hill Records.
Chidinma’s present situation has made some music critics query why she left Capital Hill Records when she had no concrete backup plan.
In an encounter with Sunday Scoop, co-owner of Capital Hill Records, Ill Bliss, stated that it was the decision of the record company not to renew Chidinma’s contract when it expired.
The rapper said, “Chidinma didn’t just wake up one morning and leave the record label. Didn’t you guys see that the relationship degenerated?
“Her contract expired with Capital Hill and we did not want to renew it. We are the record company; so, we decide what to do with an artiste we create.”
According to him, when they started Capital Hill Records, there was no plan to keep artistes for a long time.
“From the start, Clarence Peters and I didn’t plan to keep artistes for too long. Phyno stayed for a year too.
“There is always a problem when you start to keep an artiste for too long because you want to recoup all the money you invested in him or her and make a huge profit too.
“We made some good money from these artistes; we made enough money to break even and cover all our expenses,” he said.
He added that when Chidinma’s contract expired after seven years with the company, they believed she needed to build her own team.
“Chidnma knows where to find us and she knows we will always help her if she needs our help. We only have me and Mz Kiss on the label at the moment,” Ill Bliss added.
Singer Kiss Daniel, 23, is dating fellow singer, Chidinma Ekile, 26.
The two began dating some time this year, and Kiss Daniel is said to be quite in love and not hiding it.
Just last night, the Woju crooner shared a video on his instastories showing Chidinma sitting on a bed while fiddling with her phone and laughed as he filmed her. He put a love emoji across her photo.
