A young woman from the Aseda’s Compound of Isedo Street,
Ila-Orangun in Osun State has given birth to a baby girl wrapped with a cloth
containing Holy Bible, according to the Nigerian Pilot. On the very day, the woman put to bed, people from far and
near of the ancient Ila community trooped in large numbers to confirm the
miracle baby and to feed their eyes on the unusual occurrence.
According to a reliable source that spoke to the reporters,
the name of the mother of the baby is Adijat Anike Babalola, who is a
housewife. This paper also gathered that one Oladiran from Otun-Ekiti
in Ekiti State impregnated the woman, but according to the mother of the
miracle baby, they lost contact after some months.
According to Adijat, she was unable to locate her husband,
Oladiran, as she had tried to locate him, which yielded no result till she gave
birth to the miracle baby last month, October. But when a correspondent visited
the woman at her residence in Ila, she said, she was confused when she gave
birth to her baby with a wrapper around her body.
“The baby was born with a wrapper and by the time the medical personnel at the labour room unwrapped it, a Holy Bible was found in it. Continuing she said, “I was hale and healthy during the delivery process till the end,” the woman retorted.
When asked how she felt with the development, she said,
“I was highly elated about the incidence and I give thanks to the Almighty in the heaven for making me happy and for a successful delivery.
The mother is currently battling financial challenges as the
husband absconded even before the baby was born and she is currently unemployed
which is making life difficult for her.
