Nigerians on the social media are known to be creative with jokes which are used mostly to mock the political happenings in Nigeria as the issues unravel. The missing national budget is the latest mishap that just befallen the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian Senate under Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The Borno senator, Ali Ndume allegedly raised an alarm about the missing budget which was needed for ratification by the lawmakers yesterday and till this moment, the controversy behind the awkward development is yet to be authoritatively unraveled.

This has led to mixed reactions on the social media with an Abuja resident comically alleging that three goats were caught by security operatives eating away the documents of the budget. The animals are currently in the police cell with frantic efforts underway to interrogate them and get a statement. Another person has alleged Senator Dino Melaye who stirred up attention with a flambouyant attire from the northern region of Nigeria hid the budget under his cloth as he closed from the plenary.

Notices making rounds on Facebook also warns Nigerians about checking the papers when buying suya or other road fries in case they come across the missing budget so as to romptly notify constituted authorities.
