The APGA State Working Committee has commenced tour of Local Government Areas in the state with Anambra East and Oyi council areas as part of the mobilization drive to return Governor Willie Obiano in office for a second term.
The tour attracted state House of Assembly members from the areas, APGA faithful adorned in APGA uniform among other dignitaries.
Some of the state House of Assembly members including Mrs Vivian Okadigbo, Hon. Obinna Emeneka and Honorable Mike Obiudu, called for unity of purpose to achieve the set goals.
Addressing the APGA faithful in their different wards, the Zonal Chairman, Mr. Chinedu Nnatuanya, assured that returning Governor Obiano for second term is a dream that will come true ,advising them to go for the ongoing continuous voters registration to obtain their voters cards that will enable them to exercise their franchise.
He harped on the need for them to safe guard their voters card and shun some individuals who deceive them with the intention to buy their voters card and urged the youths to be law abiding.
In their separate speeches, some of the APGA stakeholders, Barrister Tony Ifeanya, Mr Theophil Nnoli, Honourable Titus Anagbogu, the Woman Leader, Lady Ibenta and Deputy Woman Leader Lady, Njideka Okafor, enumerated the good works of Governor Obiano to the people urging them to work for the progress and the betterment of the party to secure the second term bid as according to them APGA is the only party that has the interest of the citizenry at heart .
Other party faithful, the Head of Protocol to Governor Obiano, Mrs Ngozi Ossey- Agbata and Party chairmen in the wards visited, Messrs Obi Nweke, Godwin Onyeaka and Onochie Nkpuechinna, among others assured that they were prepared to deliver their party in the forth coming Guber polls and appealed to the Executive Working Committee to carry party members along by listening to their problems as well as addressing them morally and financially.
Responding the Transition Committee chairman of the local government Areas, Mr. Tony Collins Nwabunwanne of Anambra West , Mr Pius Ifeadi of Anambra East, and their Oyi counter part, Mr Uchenna Okafor, assured that Governor Obiano has done well in all facets’ of the state’s economy and affirmed that they are solidly behind his second term bid.
In their vote of thanks, the Organizing Secretary of the party, Mr. Isaac Obidiegwu and the Secretary APGA, Mr Tony Nwakile, opined that the party is moving from strength to strength, assuring that the executives will continue to motivate and take the party to the greatest height.
