A special valedictory session was held yesterday at the state House of Assembly complex by members of the House for late Honourable Francis Mmegbuanaeze who represented Idemili North Constituency.
Late Honourable Mmegbuanaeze who was aged forty eight died on the eighteenth of August 2017.
It was a moment of sober reflection and self re- examination as the lawmakers paid their last respect to their departed colleague.
A minute silence was observed in honour of late Mmegbuanaeze by his colleagues who were adorned in black attire showing mournful and sober looks.
In her tribute , the Speaker state House of Assembly , Barrister Rita Mmaduagwu , described late Honourable Mmegbuanaeze as a pragmatic and vibrant legislator who contributed so much in the development of Anambra state.
The Speaker noted that the deceased would be remembered for his sense of humour and the positive impact he made on the lives of his constituents and those who passed through him.
On his part, the Deputy speaker, Sir Hafford Oseke , described the deceased as an enigma and a rare gem who has left his footprints in the sands of time and assured that the House would always look after his family .
In his contribution , the Majority Leader, Chief Victor Okoye and the Chief Whip, Chief Lawrence Ezeudu , expressed happiness that late Honourable Mmegbuanaeze lived a life worthy of emulation and enjoined his family to be consoled in the fact that their late father lived a fulfilled life.
The member representing Idemili South Constituency , Barrister Chuka Ezenwune, his Njikoka Two Constituency counterpart, Dr Pete Ibida , the member representing Anambra East Constituency , Honourable Obinna Emeneka eulogized the sterling qualities of the deceased.
Others who paid tributes to the deceased were the member representing Ayamelum Constituency, Mr. Uchenna Okafor, his Onitsha South Two Constituency counterpart , Honourable Beverly Ikpeazu -Nkemdiche and the member representing Aguata Two Constituency, Chief Ikem Uzoezie, among others.
