Governor Willie Obiano says, in the nearest future, nothing will be impossible for the state to achieve with the way wealthy Ndi Anambra are heeding to his call on think home philosophy.
The Governor was speaking when he inaugurated over a kilometer road, constructed in Agulu, Anaocha Council Area, by a philanthropist from the community, Mr. Ugochukwu Private Orji.
Governor Obiano expressed gratitude to the philanthropist for his decision to embark on the project which he noted, practically demonstrated his large heart and love for his people.
According to him, in this era when government's resources are fast dwindling, the way forward for progressive societies is the partnership between government and the private sector in sustaining efforts at improving the living standards of the people.
The Governor said what he has been able to achieve for the state through his huge investment in fighting insecurity, is a secure and stable environment that encourage development, adding that for his administration, no input made in protecting the lives and property of Ndi Anambra is too much.
He appealed to other wealthy Ndi Anambra to emulate Mr. Orji in giving back to the society that made them and reiterated his resolve to continue to initiate such collaborative efforts to bring development to the rural communities.
In a brief remark, the President General of Agulu, Mr Andy Orakwelu thanked the Governor for his numerous developmental strides in the state and noted that it was due to the Governor’s commitment to developing Anambra State that made people like Mr. Orji commit their resources in assisting government to develop the state.
The ceremony was attended by the former National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh who is also the Chairman, Willie Obiano re-election campaign committee, Former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, Chief Mrs Bianca Ojukwu, members of the State House of Assembly, State Working Committee of APGA, and state government functionaries among many other dignitaries.
