The Governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano has announced that work would commence soon on the Pope John Paul, Ukegbu, Ben Aghaeze and Ayika streets in Awada, Obosi in Idemili North Council Area of the state.mThis revelation was made by the governor when he attended an Holy mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Awada Obosi to mark the 10th year priestly ordination anniversary of Rev Fr Vincent Ezenwaka.
Gov Obiano noted that work has already commenced on Mgbemena street, and revealed that control work was ongoing on the Obosi erosion site. On the electrification project which his administration was undertaking from the power substation at Obosi to communities in Nnewi North and South Council areas, the governor noted that the project has the capacity to boost industrialization in the state.
He called on youths in the state to take full advantage of the free ICT training which his administration was providing for them to explore their potentials, assuring that his government will continue to embark on initiatives that will make life more meaningful for Ndi Anambra. Earlier in a homily, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obinma urged Christians to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and to always pray for the peaceful conduct of the upcoming guber election in the state.
