Over the last couple of years, we have seen Nollywood actresses cum Producers and Directors show their strengths in Cinemas as they go ahead to break and make box office records with their movies. These feats do not only show that indeed Nollywood is getting better but has also shown that with great minds,great stories, enough entertainment, anything is possible.
This begs the question if the most anticipated Nollywood Christmas movie, 'Christmas is Coming' produced by yours truly Ufuoma McDermott, will land her on the chart of box office producers where the likes of Omoni Oboli(Wives on Strike/Okafor’s Law), Stephanie Linus(Dry), Funke Akindele(Omo ghetto) and Toyin Abrahma(Alakada) have conveniently featured in recent times.
Ufuoma McDermott has no doubt proved herself to be a strong force in the industry having featured in several movies which includes record breaking movies such as Wives on Strike, Okafor’s Law and more. She has remained a constant face on our screens and her talents are unquestionable.
This November, Ufuoma is storming the Cinema with a movie she wrote, produced, acted in and directed. The movie titled ‘Christmas is Coming’ (CIC) is said to bring with it a magical feeling of love, entertainment, drama and to put us right in tune for the Yuletide season.
The movie follows the story of a slobby tomboy (Ufuoma McDermott) who has a string of ill-luck after being transformed to a “Lady” by her mischievous flat mates (Mary Lazarus, Izzie Otaigbe) just a few days to Christmas. She unintentionally falls in love quickly and has to deal with its immediate consequences.
It also stars talented and popular actors like Sola Sobowale, Chioma Akpotha, Zack Orji, Deyemi Okanlanwon, Mary Lazarus, Gregory Ojefua, Michael Okon, Izzie Otaigbe, Odenike Odetola and more.
Set to hit the cinemas November 24th 2017, Ufuoma has termed this movie as a never seen before movie that will thrill and wow everyone.
