JAMIE CARRAGHER has been suddenly removed from his role working as a Champions League pundit for tomorrow night's second-leg clash between Manchester United and Sevilla.
Danish channel TV3 Sport have pulled the Liverpool legend, 40, from their lineup after he was filmed spitting in the face of a 14-year-old girl.
Shock footage emerged of the TV pundit and Liverpool legend spitting in the face of a young girl after her father teased him about Manchester United's 2-1 win over the Reds.
Peter Norrelund, TV3 Sport's executive director, said: "It does not look good.
"He should have been at Old Trafford tomorrow for United-Sevilla, and we have chosen to sit over.
"We have sent an employee to Liverpool so we can get the story from the horse's mouth.
"Whether it's about the receptionist or Jamie Carragher, we do not fire people before we've heard them.
"It does not look cool. But we are all people. We would like to hear him about it and hear what happened. Let's get it in place first."
Sky Sports are set to meet their pundit today for showdown talks over his future.
Carragher travelled to Euston station this morning and will speak with bosses in the afternoon.
He was due to appear on Monday Night Football analysing Stoke's Premier League clash at home to Manchester City.
It now appears unlikely he will feature.
Carragher is thought to earn more than £1million a year working at Sky Sports in the role he landed after retiring from football in 2013.
The Mirror report that the ex-England defender will take a two weeks off screen in a break which was agreed before footage of Carragher's spitting shame emerged.
