Governor Willie Obiano says his second term will witness more meaningful development that will further give impetus to efforts at diversifying the State economy.
The Governor was speaking during a Holy Mass, to mark the official flag off of the 2018 Archdiocesan Laity Week, at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha.
Governor Obiano who spoke of his administration's numerous partnerships with private investors and development partners aimed at revolutionizing the State agricultural sector, said when they fully come on stream, they will create wealth and job opportunities for youths in the state.
He enjoined Ndi Anambra to utilize the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise to get their PVCs to ensure that they sustain good governance, urging them not to be apolitical.
The Governor described the Laity week as an important week for the Catholic Church as it helps the Laity to examine its role in the church, with a view to enhancing the cause of evangelism.
In a homily, the Chancellor, Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, Very Rev Father Prudentus Emeka, Urged Christians to flee from sin to enable them maintain the kind of spiritual relationship with God that will elevate their status in life.
The Chaplain of the Archdiocesan Laity Council, Rev Fr Celestine Aniofor, thanked the Governor for his unending support to the church.
