IB Babangida Seeks End To Banditry, Disasters. According to him:
“I am disturbed with the rate of casualty being reported from natural disasters and acts of banditry, it requires our prayers and commitment of governments to address them”.
“I wish to therefore express my condolence to the government and people of Katsina, Ogun and other states on recent flood disasters that killed citizens and render many families homeless,” he added.
IBB stated further that
“I must also extend my heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Sokoto, Zamfara and Kaduna states over activities of armed bandits with attendant gruesome killings of innocent citizens in Tabani Village in Raba, Danbakko village in Talatan-Mafara and Tabanni village in Birnin-Gwari and other places. More worrisome are reported cases of attacks on law enforcement agencies.”
On natural disasters, he noted that,
“Natural disasters are recurring phenomenon that no one has the ability to control but can be mitigated. We should nevertheless devise precautionary measures to curtail and mitigate the crises.”
