As part of efforts to boost the capacity of its vendors and reward their efforts, GOtv Nigeria, one of the leading digital terrestrial Pay-TV operators has organized an engagement session and award party for its regional support agents.
The event, which held in Lagos, witnessed a large attendance of GOtv agents comprising of canvassers, Moms and Pops (M&Ps) and Sabimen from the Lagos and Ogun regions.
General Manager, GOtv Nigeria, Akin Salu, who spoke at the event, said the training was essential as the vendors must be empowered with the technical skills to provide support to the subscribers, being the brand’s point-of-contact in communities.
“In the first place, these Canvassers, Moms and Pops (M&P) and Sabimen are community ambassadors for GOtv. So these are the people that the customers reach out to when they have issues that need fixes. So essentially apart from just selling, they also help us fix issues within the communities. So these are the go-to-people for GOtv,” he said.
The Canvassers, M&Ps and Sabimen were trained on the rudiments of GOtv service, including the installation process and the possible challenges, the importance of decoder upgrade, common error codes and solutions, methods of troubleshooting on installation and decoders, and the procedure to swap GOtv decoders.
Awards were also given to agents, who distinguished themselves while working for the brand in their various capacities.
Dabuchi Ventures won the overall prize for Lagos region 1, Justice Ventures clinched that of Lagos region 2, B-Men won the top prize of Lagos region 3, while Shoblem was awarded the prize of Lagos region 4.
The top prize for the Ogun region was won by Johnesco. Consolation prizes were also handed out to other salespersons.
