PDP Senatorial-Elect representing Anambra Central Senator Uche Ekwunife, who was among the list of 100 senators announced by INEC in their official document from the March 9 elections, earlier today also received her Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the famous International Conference Centre, Abuja
Senator Ekwunife accepted her certificate in good faith and pledged her commitment to a successful tenure.
She said;
I was presented with the CERTIFICATE OF RETURN as the duly elected Senator representing ANAMBRA CENTRAL SENATORIAL DISTRICT of Anambra State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC Nigeria).
During the 9th Assembly, be assured of an effective, democratic and more inclusive representation...
Thank You all and God Bless. #AnambraCentral 🇳🇬
Recall that, of the 100 senatorial seats declared by the INEC, five positions are occupied by women.
They include two new senators (Aisha Dahiru, Adamawa Central and Uche Ekwunife, Anambra Central) and three returning lawmakers (Oluremi Tinubu of Lagos West, Rose Oko of Cross River North and Stella Oduah of Anambra North).
