Chelsea will be seeded for the Champions League last-16 draw, after finishing top of Group E.

Frank Lampard’s men had already secured top spot last week, following their victory over Sevilla.

A second-string Blues side were held to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea finished the group stages with 14 points from a possible 18.

Although four groups will be decided on Wednesday night, the Premier League side can already get an idea of teams they might come up against in the last 16.

With two other English sides also finishing as group winners, Chelsea can be drawn against any of the other runners-up except Sevilla.

Some big names in the hat include Barcelona, who lost 3-0 to Juventus, – and there are some very big names in the hat. Chief among them is Barcelona, who were beaten at home to Juventus to miss out on top spot, while another Italian side, Lazio, came through their match against Club Brugge in the night’s early kick-off.

Chelsea’s potential opponents in the last 16:

Atletico Madrid* or Red Bull Salzburg

Gladbach or Shakhtar* or Real Madrid or Inter Milan.

Porto

Atalanta* or Ajax

Lazio

Barcelona

PSG or RB Leipzig

*Asterisk denotes the team currently in second place.
