Nigeria’s senior national team has ended this year as the 35th best team in the world.
The Super Eagles remain unmoved in December’s ranking published by FIFA on Thursday.
Genot Rohr’s men amassed a total of 1474 points to stay as the fifth-best team on the continent behind Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.
It was also a year the three-time African champions failed to win a single football game.
In a year disrupted by COVID-19, Nigeria lost 1-0 to Algeria in a friendly and drew 1-1 with Tunisia in another warm-up match in Austria.
Their double-header Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone ended 4-4 and 0-0 respectively.
Belgium finished number one in the world for the third consecutive time, followed by France, Brazil, England and Portugal.
