Juventus manager, Andrea Pirlo has confirmed that the Serie A champions are interested in signing Chelsea’s 34-year-old striker, Olivier Giroud.
Juventus beat Udinese 4-1 in a Serie A match on Sunday, and now occupy the 5th position on the league table, 10 points behind table-topping AC Milan.
There have been earlier reports linking Juve with a move for former Italy international Graziano Pelle.
And now Giroud is seen as another option for the club, as he enters the final six months of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
The France international has scored eight goals in his last seven outings for Frank Lampard’s Blues.
Pirlo didn’t deny his interest for the Frenchman and when asked about a possible move for Giroud, the former Italy midfielder replied to DAZN: “He’d be handy!
“The window opens tomorrow, we already discussed with the club what we want to do and if there are any opportunities. Maybe a striker that can rotate with our strikers.”
