Tottenham boss, Jose Mourinho has said that his players ignored the instruction he gave them before their embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday.
Having won the first leg 2-0 in London, the Premier League side suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to minnows Dinamo Zagreb who knocked them out of the Europa League.
The Portuguese gaffer claimed that his players ignored the tactical instructions he gave them before the kick off.
Mislav Orsic scored a hat-trick for Dinamo to take the Croatian side through to the Europa League quarter-finals.
“I believe that by surprise we were not caught,” said the former Chelsea boss after the game that left him frustrated.
“Before the game I told the players to play to win. Play the game to be dominant
“Don’t go in the other direction. Even at 0-0 I said don’t do it.
“So by surprise they were not caught,” he added.
