Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah has noted that former Chelsea winger, Eden Hazard has been unlucky at Real Madrid.

Salah also said that the La Liga giants lost their best player in history, Cristiano Ronaldo when they allowed the Portuguese star to leave the Bernabeu in 2018.

The Egyptian spoke ahead of Liverpool’s battle with Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter finals.

The Belgian captain, Hazard, has endured a difficult time at Real Madrid since joining from Chelsea in 2019, being mostly stopped by injuries, scoring only three La Liga goals, in 20 starts.

Salah and Hazard played together at Chelsea for 18 months, before the Egyptian forward moved on to Roma for £12million.

Speaking to Marca, Salah, 28, said, “They’ve [Real] lost some great players, like Cristiano Ronaldo – the best in the club’s history, someone that scored so many goals.

“At the same time, they’ve signed [Eden] Hazard. Eden’s been unlucky, he’s been injured.

“I can’t pick one [main danger], the majority of them are great players. Hazard. I have a great relationship with him, he did very well at Chelsea, but he’s not getting any luck at the moment.”
