Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has taken responsibility for their 3-0 thrashing at home to Liverpool on Saturday.
Arteta, speaking to the media after the game, branded the performance as “unacceptable”.
The Gunners were without Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, David Luiz and Granit Xhaka and suffered a further setback when Kieran Tierney was forced off with a knee injury.
Although it ended 0-0 in the first half, Liverpool eventually made their dominance count, as Diogo Jota came off the bench to score twice.
Mohamed Salah also got in on the act.
“We completely deserved to lose the game. They were better in every department, They deserved to win with the margin they have or more and it was unacceptable from our side the way we played.
“I accept responsibility for the way we played today. They made the right decisions, we didn’t. It is my fault. I have to set the team up to perform in a different way and that is it,” Arteta said.
