Thomas Tuchel has played down Chelsea’s chances of ending the Premier League campaign in the top four.
This is despite his side’s dominant 4-1 away win at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Chelsea bounced back from their disgraceful outing last weekend and were in fine form at Selhurst Park with Kai Havertz firing them in front very early before a Pulisic’s brace and a Kurt Zouma’s header.
Thomas Tuchel’s team moved into the top four with the win and are now two points clear of Liverpool after the Reds beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Anfield.
Chelsea are in a strong position to end the season on a brighter note and book a Champions League place for next season but Tuchel says it is a tough job ahead.
“Everything was bad against West Brom,” Tuchel said after the win against Crystal Palace.
“The result was horrible, but the starts were not as bad.
“Of course I came to England for the targets which was to finish in the top four.
“We have our own way to go. We need results continually. We had a set-back last week, but it is not the moment to look at other teams all the time.
“We are in the middle of the race. It’s the target to finish there, but it will be tough until the end.”
