6. The United States has said there was no plan to relocate its Africa Command from its current base in Germany to Nigeria or any other part of Africa as requested by President Muhammadu Buhari. The US Pentagon spokesperson, Ms Cindi King, said this on Friday.
7. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has kicked off construction work in the Port Harcourt Refinery rehabilitation project. This was contained in a statement on Friday by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Dr Kennie Obateru.

The Defence Ministry on Friday said the controversial $1 billion released by President Muhammadu Buhari to procure arms was expended on the purpose for which it was released while waiting for the products’ arrival about three years after. 10. The Supreme Court on Friday reaffirmed a ruling by the Court of Appeal in support of the deregistration of the National Unity Party (NUP) and 73 others. This was according to a judgement delivered by Justice China Nweze yesterday.
