Italy manager, Roberto Mancini, has described their 3-0 win over Turkey as “an important win”.
The Azzurris opened the Euro 2020 with a big-margin victory on Friday night.
Merih Demiral’s own goal gave Mancini’s men the lead, before Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne added late goals.
However, Mancini warned there is a long road to go until a possible Wembley final.
“It was important to start well in Rome and I think it is a satisfaction for the public and for Italians.
“It was a beautiful evening, I hope there are many others, but there are still six more for Wembley.
“We played a good match, even in the first half without being able to score. A great team. There was a lot of help from the crowd,” Mancini said after the match played at a Stadio Olimpico.
