32 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna State today regained their freedom from suspected bandits.
Recall that on Monday, 5th July, 2021, over 100 students were abducted from the Bethel Baptist High school, Damishi, Kaduna. Some of the students had earlier been released while others regained their freedom on health grounds.
Confirming the release of the students today, the state chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. John Joseph Hayab told DAILY POST that 31 students are still in the hands of their abductors.
According to Rev. Hayab, “We should continue to pray for the remaining students, believing that one day, they too will be released to us. We are still begging the bandits to please see reasons with to us and release the children so that they will be reunited with their parents.”
Rev. Hayab enjoined Christians to continue to pray for peace in Kaduna State and the country as a whole, saying that the security challenges the country is going through need God’s intervention.
