Brazilian defender, David Luiz, has revealed how Lionel Messi’s recent move to Paris Saint-Germain stopped him(Luiz)from returning to Ligue 1.
The 36-year-old become a free agent this summer and had the opportunity to return to France but turned it down.
He left English Premier League side Arsenal this summer and remains a free agent.

The former PSG star, however, admitted to snubbing interest from Ligue 1 because “Lionel Messi is a nightmare” and it is “better not to play against him”.
Messi joined PSG last week after his 21-year stay at Barcelona came to a sudden end.
Quizzed by the Daily Mail on his decision not to head back to Ligue 1, Luiz said: “Messi is a nightmare, it is better not to play against him!”
