Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has praised debutant Aaron Ramsdale and Martin Odegaard, following their 6-0 win over West Brom in the Carabao Cup second round.
It was the Gunners’ first win of the season, following back-to-back 2-0 defeats in the Premier League to Brentford and Chelsea.
Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a hat-trick, while Nicolas Pepe, Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette also got on the score sheet.
Arteta told Sky Sports: “The attitude the team had from the beginning [was good]. We were disappointed not to win the two games in the league.
“When you lose the most important thing is to win the next match to get some confidence. We scored some good goals.”
Odegaard and Ramsdale were making their first appearances this season.
Arteta added: “Very good, the both of them. Martin gives us something different which we don’t have with any other player.
“Aaron looked very comfortable. He’s a big personality.”
