The Zamfara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has left Gusau for Kaduna to commiserate with the family of late Muhammad Munirat Nasir of the Sun Newspapers who died recently in Kaduna.
A press statement signed by the state secretary of the union, Comrade Nasiru Shehu Aula said that the delegation was under the leadership of the state chairman of the Council, Comrade Bello Boko and Comrade Sani Haruna Dutsinma, correspondents’ chapel chairman, respectively.
The statement also noted that the two chairmen described the death of late Munirat Nasiru who was a senior correspondent of Daily Sun Newspaper in Zamfara State as a great loss not only to his family or relatives but the entire members of the council, the state and the nation as a whole.

According to them, late Munirat played a very vital role in the area of journalism profession, especially the remarkable contribution given for the development of the union in Zamfara State.
“NUJ in the state will never forget him and his family considering the fact that the deceased had good record of human relations with the members of the union entirely, and we pray Allah to grant him with jannatul Firdaus and to give his family, relatives, and members of the union fortitude to bear the irreparable lost,” the union said.
Late Muhammad Munirat Naseer is survived by a wife and children.
