Forty-eight hours after rescuing nine out of the 12 passengers who were kidnapped in Ondo State, the State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps has rescued the remaining three victims.

The victims were rescued following an intense rescue operation embarked upon by the corps.

DAILY POST had few days ago reported how kidnappers waylaid a Lagos-bound bus on Idoani-Ifira road in Akoko South East Local Government Area of the state and kidnapped the passengers who were on transit from Abuja after sporadic gunshots.

Following the incident, the Amotekun Corps in the state immediately swung into action and rescued nine of the victims.

Confirming the rescue of the remaining three victims, the state Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye disclosed that the victims would be reunited with their family members on Saturday (today).

“I can confirm to you that we have rescued the three remaining victims and they will be reunited with their families today (Saturday),” he said.
