Habila Anderufun, the member representing Ussa Constituency in the Taraba State House of Assembly has again decried the deplorable state of the road leading to his constituency.

He called on Governor, Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku, to as a matter of urgency, direct the state Road Construction and Maintenance Agency to rehabilitate the Takum-Ussa highway.

The lawmaker, who made the call on Thursday in Jalingo, the state capital, said the deplorable condition of the road had made life cumbersome for the people of his Local Government Council.

He said the rehabilitation of the road would not only ease the movement of vehicles and passengers in and out of the area, but as well ignite business activities.

Citing the untold hardship occasioned by the recent flood disaster, he said the people were in dire need of help from the leadership of the state.

DAILY POST reports that as at the time of filing this report, the government has not reached out to the victims with relief materials.

The lawmaker appealed to the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to as a matter of urgency, reach out to the people affected by the flood.

Urging the people to remain calm and law abiding, he was optimistic that succour would soon come from the Governor, whom he described as a “man with listening ears.”
