Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has frowned at suggestions that the players had shown they were playing for him, after the criticism of the weekend display at Leicester City.
A lot of pundits and fans claimed the squad had downed tools and were trying to get Solskjaer sacked, after the 4-2 defeat at the King Power.
But on Wednesday night, United came from two goals down to beat Atalanta 3-2 at Old Trafford.
When Solskjaer was asked if the players are happy to play for him, he replied: “Don’t disrespect the players.
“They play for Manchester United and they know they are the luckiest men in the world.
“Tonight they are the luckiest men in the world because they get to play for Manchester United. That is what so many millions of boys and girls want to do.”
