Former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward, Michael Owen, has predicted some of the English Premier League, EPL, games that will be played this weekend.
Leicester City will host Arsenal at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon, while Chelsea will face Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
Manchester United will face Tottenham Hotspur in an away Premier League tie on Saturday evening and Liverpool will host Brighton.
Providing his predictions, Owen told BetVictor: “I fancy Leicester here. Vardy’s record against Arsenal is fantastic and he’s scored 11 against them, more than any opponent. I can see him scoring here and Leicester winning. Leicester 2, Arsenal 1.”
Commenting on the Liverpool vs Brighton game, Owen said, “I expect a response from Brighton here, but Liverpool will still have too much. It’ll be difficult for the Reds to match the performance of last week, so I’m saying 2-1 Liverpool.”
Speaking on the Newcastle vs Chelsea fixture, Owen said, “Chelsea have the league’s best defence and I can’t see Newcastle having enough to hurt them. I think Newcastle will try to keep things tight, but Chelsea will get the win here, 1-0.”
On the Tottenham vs Manchester United match, Owen said, “Both managers are under pressure here, particularly Ole. United won 3-1 here last season and are yet to lose in the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. I think they can edge this 2-1.”
