Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is unhappy with his bosses for failing to sign a central midfielder, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Solskjaer is under pressure following a 4-2 defeat at Leicester City last weekend.
The loss saw United drop to sixth place in the Premier League, five points below leaders Chelsea.
Solskjaer is under pressure to win a trophy this season, after the club brought in Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane this summer.
However, the 48-year-old requested for a midfielder to beef up his squad and didn’t get one.
The Red Devils were strongly linked with West Ham’s Declan Rice, but the Hammers stood firm on their £100million valuation. They were also linked with Kalvin Phillips of Leeds United, but the England international looks certain to pen a new deal with the Yorkshire club.
Solskjaer has so far tried seven different midfield partnerships to find the winning formula this season.
