The President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Wale Oke, on Thursday, said the situation of Nigeria calls for great concern to all well-meaning Nigerians.

Oke, in its Nigeria’s 61st independence anniversary message said that it would require the collective responsibility of all Nigerians for the nation’s past glory to be restored.

The clergyman enjoined rulers and the led to desist from playing blame games often associated with incidents in the country.

“If we must find ourselves back to the glorious past where religion, ethnicity and security among other present-day challenges were never our problems, then all of us must truthfully work together as indivisible entity for our own good,” he said.

Oke admonished the Federal Government to revamp the nation’s ailing economy, stressing that the depreciation in the country’s currency exchange rate was disturbing and worrisome.

“Something urgently must be done to salvage the situation, because this is having a telling effect on Nigerians, especially with every item becoming prohibitive.

“Let our economic experts swing into action to arrest the increasing prices of food and other goods. God will help us,” Oke said.
