MD Chelars Global, Ibrahim Bashir weds Khadija Abubakar [PHOTOS]

Ibrahim Bashir, Managing Director, Chelars Global and Tripod logistics Nigeria limited on Saturday, married his heartthrob, Khadija Abubakar.

The reception ceremony took place on Friday in Kaduna while the couple were officially joined together after the payment of dowry in the wedding Fatiha at Khalid in Walid Juma’a mosque on Saturday in Zaria.

The wedding ceremony, which took place at their hometown in Zaria, witnessed the presence of notable men like, Dr Alimi Bello, CEO Medha Nig, Ltd, Brigadier A. R Bello, Abdulaziz Baba, Abdulahi Masu’d, Baba, and Hon. Otunba Ganiyu.

Others included Abidemi Alabi, UK, Keesha Roper, New York City, Dr Bolaji Hamza, Harvard Uni. USA, Alhaji Idris Uthman, MD SPDC Nig Ltd., the family and friends of the couple.

Speaking in an interview with newsmen, the groom, Ibrahim revealed he met his heartthrob in Kaduna, in 2016.

”I met her in 2016 in Kaduna, while we were hanging out, I told her instantly that she is my wife but she thought I was joking about it.

”I left after 5 to 6 months, I called her again. After then, I didn’t call again till after two months.

“She asked me when I will be coming to Kaduna again but I told her I wasn’t sure but unknown to her, I already planned to come to Kaduna as a surprise. So, after the last surprise visit, we didn’t talk again till two years after.

”At some point, I started pressuring but she told me she had someone else and I told her it doesn’t matter because the best man has to win and luckily I won.

”Eventually, I proposed to her on October 15, 2020,” he said.
