2. Authorities of the Nigeria police force have arrested 14 “fake” police officers who invaded Justice Mary Odili’s residence on October 29. The fake officers were said to have been led by a self-acclaimed Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Lawrence Ajojo, who confessed that he is not an officer of the force.
3. Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the October 6 and 9, 2021 governorship election in Anambra State, Sen Andy Uba, has rejected the results of the election announced by INEC. In a statement on Thursday in Abuja, the Spokesman for the Uba Campaign Organisation, Ambassador Jerry Ugokwe, said the election was a charade, adding that Uba would use legal means to “reclaim” his mandate.
4. The National Independent electoral commission, INEC, has said it will issue the certificate of return to the winner of the just concluded Anambra gubernatorial election, Professor Charles Soludo on Friday (Today). The National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee of INEC, Barr. Festus Okoye disclosed this in a statement yesterday.
5. President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday, assured investors that investment in gas remains a top priority for the country, considering the huge benefits in terms of returns and utility. Mr Femi Adesina, the President’s spokesman in a statement said Buhari gave the assurance when he met with Chief Executive Officer of Total, Patrick Pouyanne in Paris, France, on Thursday.
6. Ohanaeze Ndigbo has commended the Federal Government over its position that political solution is not ruled out in resolving the cases of agitators, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho. In a statement by its spokesman, Alex Ogbonnia, Ohanaeze said it was impressed for the Federal Government to mull the idea of dialogue to resolve Kanu’s case.
7. The federal government has explained that millions of graduates in the country are unemployed because they do not have specific skills required for the job market. The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Arch. Sonny Echono, said this, Thursday, in Abuja.
8. The Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum (SGF), Rotimi Akeredolu has congratulated the Anambra State Governor-elect, Prof. Charles Soludo over his victory at last Saturday’s governorship election in the state. Governor Akeredolu also commended Ndi Anambra for trooping out to exercise their franchise in spite of the security challenges that have pervaded the state over time.

Lawrence Ajojo, one of the suspects arrested over the raid on the residence of Justice Mary Odili, has said he is a consultant to the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN. Ajojo, who claimed to be a Chief Superintendent of Police, said this when he was paraded by the police in Abuja on Thursday.
10. Nigerian troops have eliminated scores of insurgents in massive airstrikes at a fish dam in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State. It was gathered that the airstrikes were executed on Wednesday after suspected ISWAP terrorists attacked a military formation with over a dozen gun trucks.
