The Governing Council of the London Graduate School and Commonwealth University has on Monday conferred an honorary Doctorate Degree on the Chairman/CEO of Stanel Group, Stanley Uzochukwu.
The event was witnessed by other awardees and dignitaries from across African continent. These include the founder and chairman of ASKY Airlines and former chairman of Ecobank Plc, Gervais Djondo, Ghanaian presidential aspirant, Henry Herbert Lartey.
Others are Kenyan Honorable Ministers, Hon. Morris Dzoro, representative of Rivers State, Barr Lekeh and representative of Lagos State among others. The visionary young business leader, Uzochukwu has been in the news in Nigeria notably for his huge impart in the Nigerian economy in the areas of job creation, products and services innovations and, of course, human development and empowerment.

As part of their study tour, officers from the Naval War College Nigeria came to Anambra State to understudy the security system which has seen the once crime prone State become one of the Safest States in Nigeria.
The officers on tour of select places in the State also visited Stanel World, the ultra modern luxury centre located in the capital city of Awka.
Recall that following the successful cleansing of Anambra of all forms of crime, the government of Chief Willie Obiano embarked on a Think Home Campaign tagged "Aku Luo Uno" urging every Onye Anambra and ndi Igbo in general to bring their investments home.
Answering the Aku Luo Uno call, many investors both indigenous and foreign have established in Anambra State and numerous new enterprises are springing up all over the State leading to surge in employment and wealth creating opportunities.
At the last count, over $5.5bn investment has been attracted into Anambra as the business friendly environment created by the government is second to none.
According to the visiting Naval Officers led by Rear Admiral TC Udofia, the choice of Anambra is in appreciation of the conducive and secure environment in the State while Stanel World is among the select facilities to be toured because its establishment and 24 hours service delivery are hinged on the security of the area.
On arrival, the CEO of Stanel World, Mr Stanley Uzochukwu received the officers and took them on a tour of the Mega Facility comprising a fuel pump station, chicken republic, world class spa, farmers market and French bakery.
Other facilities toured include; Pharmacy store, vehicle maintenance section, car wash centre, luxury centre, chapel, event centre, VIP lounge, warehouse, supermarket, Stanel tyre centre, Stanel engine oil bay, Stanel Domestic Gas Centre amongst others.
Mr Stanley Uzochukwu was later honoured with a special recognition award with compliments from the Naval War College.
The visiting Naval Officers expressed satisfaction with the level of improvement in the security of the State and its social economic impact to nation building.

Stanel World Mega Facility has been commissioned in Awka making available over 500 jobs, equally staff trained in Lagos and Abuja!
In line with the Aku Lue Unu philosophy of the present administration in Anambra state, a state of the art Ultra – Modern Luxury centre known as Stanel world was commissioned on Friday 7th July, by Governor Willie Obiano in Awka, the State Capital.
The mega centre which is the first of its kind in the South East geopolitical zone of the country is located close to UNIZIK, Main Gate, Awka. According to the Chief Executive Officer of Stanel World, Mr. Stanley Uzochukwu, the mega center would operate for 24 hours with home delivery service.
Mr Uzochuwku explained that the facilities of Stanel World include, fuel at right price and meter, chicken republic, world class spa, farmers market and French bakery.
Other facilities of the company are, Pharmacy store, vehicle maintenance, car wash, luxury services, chapel, event centre, VIP lounge, warehouse, supermarket, stanel tyres, Stanel engine oil, Stanel gas and cylinders among others.
Mr Uzochukwu disclosed that he was motivated to establish a branch of the Stanel world in the state because of the conducive security environment created by the present administration for local and foreign investments.
On job opportunities, the CEO disclosed that Stanel World has created over 500 jobs and counting and that its staff were employed since December last year and subsequently trained in Lagos and Abuja for the best customer service.
He expressed joy that other entrepreneurs and industrialists from other parts of the country and aboard are enthusiastically taking advantage of the business friendly environment created by the Obiano administration, and commended the governor for establishing the Anambra sate Investment, Promotion and Protection Agency, ANSIPPA, as a catalyst for massive socio- economic development of the state.
Mr Uzuochukwu, also advised Ndi Anambra to patronize Stanel World which he described as a one stop market for quality goods and products in the state.
The commissioning was a gathering of "who's who" as friends of the owner of Stanel World including Sen Andy Ubah, Hon Chris Azubuogu and many other dignitaries joined ndị Anambra to celebrate the historic event...
Sir Victor Umeh, Ozo Victor Oye, Uche Oga, the clergy, traditional rulers and Nollywood Stars among others were in attendance.
A representative of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation told the gathering that Stanel Oil is one of the best things to have happened to the Oil and Gas sector in the country.
On his part, the MD of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, Chief Joe Billy Ekwunife informed the gathering that Stanel World is one of the 28 MoUs entered into by the present administration adding that the Nnewi and Onitsha branches of the firm will soon be kick started.
Gov Obiano who mounted the podium dancing to the tune of "Okigbo Mbem" expressed happiness that Mr Stanley Uzochukwu took advantage of the business friendly environment in Anambra to bring home his investment and called on other well meaning ndi Anambra to embrace the "Think Home" philosophy.

In response to the “Aku Luo Uno" Campaign of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, aimed at attracting Igbo entrepreneurs to invest in their homeland, an ultramodern luxury facility including the first 24 hour Filling Station in South East Nigeria has just been completed and will open for business in June.
The state of the art facility, Stanel Oil, owned by Anambra born Stanley Uzochukwu is located along the Amansea Axis of the Awka – Onitsha Expressway just before the UNIZIK Main Gate in Anambra State.
The facility
“will run 24 hours with an underground capacity of 1.5million litres” that can serve the State for 3 months in the event of fuel scarcity.
According to Mr. Uzochukwu who took Governor Obiano on a guided tour recently, the multipurpose facility contains an eatery - Chicken Republic, French Bakery, Tyre Centre, Supermarket, Conference Room, Relaxation Lounge, Farmers Market, Domestic Gas Plant, Automated Car Wash, Lub Plant, Warehouse and a Chapel with state of the art equipment including a 3D Alignment Machine.
Mr Uzochukwu revealed that the governor personally invited him to invest in Anambra after a similar facility developed by his company was commissioned in Plateau State and expressed happiness with the secure and investment friendly environment while commending the ease of doing business in the State.
“I want to specially thank the governor and his wife because when we came in our papers where processed without delay and we have been working day and night to finish on time and to meet the desired expectations and standard,” – Mr Uzochukwu said.
