President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated the presidential candidate of the All Progressive
Congress (APC) , General Muhammadu Buhari on his victory in the Saturday 28th March, presidential election.
In a telephone call
at exactly 5:15pm to Buhari in Abuja,
Jonathan assured him of maximum cooperation and smooth transition.
The Head of the Peace Committee, Abdulsalami Abubakar confirmed
the call to state house correspondents after meeting with the President
Jonathan at the Presidential Villa,
Abuja.
He reported that the President told him he called General Buhari around
5.15 p.m.
