After the passing away of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1, on Tuesday, January 19, READ HERE thereby leaving his seat open for a new monarch in Ibadan town. In line with customs of Ibadan traditional stool, there is an order of ranking based on the chiefs in the council. The highest ranked chief will succeed the late Oba Odugade.
Following the dictates of the traditional stool, the likely successor to the throne is High Chief Saliu Adetunji, the Balogun of the Olubadan-in-council. High Chief Saliu Adetunji, the Balogun of the Olubadan-in-council is the next Olubadan of Ibadan.
