ENUGU - The Enugu State Government set to embark on a major housing project for the purpose of ameliorating the hardship faced by state civil servants as they plan to build 2,500 houses for low and high income earners, the state Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development, Solomon Onah, has said.
Five hundred of the houses would cost N7.5 billion, according to our source. Onah spoke, yesterday, during a ceremony to mark the commencement of the sale of forms for 500 plots of land at the New Independence Layout along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway in Enugu.
He further said that only single family or twin duplexes/bungalows of not more than two floors, including the ground floor would be built in the new layout under Public- Private Partnership, PPP.
