According to reports gathered online, the match which was organized by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Edo State Football Association and the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, also featured ex-Super Eagles players, including Mutiu Adepoju, Austin Eguavoen and Uche Okechukwu.
The former Nigerian internationals, Rufai, Adepoju, Eguavoen, Ikepba, Okechukwu and Keshi were part of the Nigerian squad that lifted the African Nations Cup trophy in 1994.
