Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu has said that Gov Willie Obiano's humility and desire to help humanity were virtues he inherited from his late mother, Mrs Christiana Obiano.
Sen Ekweremadu dropped this hint when he paid the governor a condolence visit in his country home, Aguleri in Anambra East Council Area of Anambra state this afternoon.
The Senator noted that children are usually a reflection of the true nature of their parents or guardians, and that in Gov Obiano, he has seen a man who is open-minded and committed to whatever he sets his mind on to achieve.
He therefore advised parents to endeavour to train their children in the way of the Lord and avail them every necessary within their capacity, reminding them that if their children emerge important personalities in the society tomorrow, they will reap the benefits.
Commiserating with the Obiano family over the loss, Ekweremadu prayed that Mama's soul finds eternal rest in heaven.
Meanwhile, traders across the SouthEast under the aegis of Amalgamated Market Traders Association also yesterday paid their condolences to Gov Obiano.
The leader of the delegation and President, Southeast Amalgamated Market Traders Association, Chief Okwudili Ezenwankwo described the death of late Mrs Christiana as a transition to eternal glory, as according to him, testimonies abound as to her benevolence and devotion to the things of God.
