Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike on Monday relieved all except one of his Special Advisers of their appointments.
A statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, said only the Special Adviser on Religious Affairs, Winston Iwo was retained.
The governor had on June 24 sacked all of the state’s commissioners. The governor, who has less than two years into his first tenure, is yet to appoint new commissioners.
