Mo Salah's goal cancelled out Scott Arfield's opener as Jurgen Klopp's men dropped two points at home. A spirited performance from Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope helped Burnley claim a point against Liverpool at Anfield.
The visitors opened the scoring through Scott Arfield, who slotted a crisp finish into the bottom corner of the net from 12 yards out. Their lead was short-lived however, as Salah drilled home a low finish past Nick Pope to claim his third goal of the campaign.
The Reds pressed for a winner, but were unable to beat Premier League debutant Pope.
Our man David Maddock was at Anfield and he's dished out his player ratings...
Liverpool
Mignolet 6 - Had hardly any work to do, but yet again defensive mistake exposed him
Alexander-Arnold 6 - Played high up pitch and that left him a little vulnerable to long ball behind
Matip 7 - Composed as always, vastly under-rated defender who is side's most assured
Klavan 6 - Much maligned, but does better job that credit for, with the odd mistake too
Robertson 7 - Delivery from left was key Reds weapon and got forward at will to look good
Can 6 - Played in deep role and passing in behind visiting defence was most incisive
Milner 6 - Brought back to lend experience to shielding defence and it well by and large
Coutinho 7 - Buzzing from the start and some of his dribbling was worth admission alone
Salah 7 - Pushed on down the right and got the goal his attacking instinct deserved
Firmino 6 - Swapped easily with Sturridge and combined telepathically with Coutinho
Sturridge 6 - Looks as fit as done for long time and grew into this game with his movement
Subs:
Oxlade-Chamberlain 6 (Firmino 78)
Solanke 6 (Coutinho 79)
Burnley
Pope 8 - MOTM. Tough place for full Premier League debut, but stood up brilliantly
Lowton 7 - Tough job picking Coutinho, but stuck to his task and was solid as usual
Tarkowski 7 - Looks increasingly assured at heart of defence and tough competitor
Mee 7 - Influential leader for side and was unlucky not to give them a win at the end
Ward 6 - Tough and energetic as always and found a little time to get up the flank
Gudmundsson 6 - Played very deep on right and did his defensive job with great tenacity
Defour 7 - Used all experience to control middle and wily in his possession as always
Cork 6 - Anchor in middle and often dropped deeper to form defensive shield
Brady 6 - Hardly saw his attacking qualities but did well in winning header for goal
Arfield 6 - Wonderfully composed finish from side's first attack and deserved his glory
Woods 6 - Used to exploit Liverpool weakness in air at back, performed task with vigour
Subs:
Barnes 6 (Gudmundsson 60)
Vokes (Wood 87)
Westwood (Defour 87)
