President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the Super Eagles on the spectacular 2-1 win against Angola in the CHAN quarter-final match played today in Tangier, Morocco.
According to a statement by Garba Shehu, Senior Presidential Media Aide, President Buhari watched the match in his hotel room in Addis Ababa after a long day of meetings which started at 8:00am and ended at 5:30 pm.
He said the President “wishes them the very best for the upcoming matches.
Recall that Okechukwu Gabriel scored an extra-time winner as Nigeria sealed their place in the semi-finals of the 2018 CHAN with a 2-1 win over Angola at the Stade Ibn Batouta in Tangier.
