The KOWA Party has announced that it would give its nomination forms for free to young people, under 35 years seeking to contest for the Senate, House of Representatives and State Assemblies.
According to a statement by Victor Terhemba, the party’s acting director of communications, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, took the decision to give priority to youth inclusiveness in the electoral process, because the role young people have to play in the future of the nation.

However, to qualify for free nomination forms, young aspirants will be “required to present a certain number of members of the party in their constituency who support their ambition and have fully paid their dues in 2018”.

Terhemba’s statement also lamented that “for the last three years, we have engaged the incumbent administration on their lack of leadership, good governance, transparency, accountability and an overall lack of direction in taking our country to a better place.

“We want to implore all members to step out now into the ring to offer Nigerians a better alternative than the current administration can muster”.

He stated that the KOWA Party will be fielding candidates across the 36 states of the Federation for the Senatorial Districts, Federal and State Constituencies, “where our members show up”, even as he emphasized that “now is the time to offer Nigerians a difference from the status quo”.

According to the statement, fees for nomination forms are President – N1,000,000, Governor – N500,000, Senate – N400,000, House of Reps – N250,000 and State Assembly – N150,000.
