Before the Houston Rockets took on the Golden State Warriors in a pivotal game 5 matchups in the Western Conference Finals on Thursday night, the franchise owner, Tilman Fertitta, decided to give a honorary shoutout & few nice words to the seniors & students at Sante Fe High School, who were victimized in a mass shooting last week.
Joining Tilman Fertitta was non-other than Rockets’ superfine Travis Scott, who also said some kinds words to the students. La Flame said to the roaring crowd before tip:
“Turn the lights on the seniors over there,” Travis said to start out. “To the Sante Fe seniors and to the amazing officers & to the principals, we love you. Y’all the strongest people on this Earth. Thank you for being here with all of us,” Travis added before going on to scream “Let's go Rockets.”
It’s not too surprising to see Travis in attendance for the pivotal game 5 matchup tonight, however. The Houston native has been attending just about every home game throughout this whole playoffs, causing mayhem on the sidelines for opponents.
In addition to La Flame, the Rockets game 5 saw Justin Timberlake, JJ Watt, & a few other celebrities in attendance to watch.
Check out the honorary speech before the game (below) and look out for new music from La Flame to impacting hopefully sooner than later.
