As court grants Naira Marley bail application while the condition is to look for N2 million for release bail, social media company Twitter has suspended the official account of the ‘Why’ crooner today, this could be linked to ongoing prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission over a credit fraud case
Twitter has not issued any official statement to that regard, but everything linked to his current fraud case with the Nigerian government.
In a recent chat with the dancer, she revealed that her project for the year was to sensitize the public to the gains of giving the dance industry the same respect other industries in the entertainment sphere receive.
During a recent interview, she revealed that she had used dance to help unhappy women regain their confidence.
“I started out as a fitness trainer and I used dance to make it more enticing to both men and women because we like fun. With dancing, you would have so much fun that you would not believe the number of calories you burn in the process instead of lifting heavy weights.
"Dance takes the pain away while exercising and you would have fun as you do so."
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has filed an 11-count charge on credit card fraud against Naira Marley (real name Azeez Fashola).
This is coming after the singer’s team released a statement saying he was arrested with an item that wasn’t his at his apartment in the early hours of last Friday, his birthday.
Punch reports that the charges were were filed before a Lagos State High Court and the singer is facing in hail if found guilty.
He is said to be arraigned on Monday, May 20th.
The charges read in part:
That you, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and Raze (still at large), on or about the 11th day of December 2018, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, conspired amongst yourselves to use Access card 42658840359191132 issued to persons other than you in a bid to obtain gain and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 27(1)(b) of the Cyber Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Act 2015 and punishable under Section 33(2) of the Same Act.
That you, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and Raze (still at large), on or about the 10th day of May 2019, within the jurisdiction of this honorable court, with intent to defraud possessed, counterfeit card 4921819410257431 issued to Timea Fedorne Tatar and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 33(9) of Cyber Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Act 2015.
According to the EFCC, some of the credit cards bore the names: Nicole Louise Malyon and Timea Fedorne Tatar.

Square Record duo Peter and Paul were arguably the biggest music duo Naija and even Africa at large has ever produced. These talented identical twins cop the stage names Mr P and Rudeboy. They were extremely exceptional and had international collaborations with Rick Ross and Akon to mention a few.

Fox Says Jussie Smollett Was Not Fired From Empire, While Chicago PD Dismisses Reports of 'Staged' Attack
The Chicago Police Department says that media reports of Jussie Smollett staging the racist and homophobic attack he allegedly sustained last month are unconfirmed, while Fox has refuted a claim that the Empire star had been fired, thus precipitating the alleged hoax.
ABC Chicago reporter Rob Elgas tweeted on Thursday that “multiple sources” believe that Smollett and his two assailants orchestrated the headline-making crime, allegedly because his character, Jamal, was being written out of Empire. Another Chicago reporter, CBS’ Charlie De Mar, said that two persons of interest whose home was raided by police previously appeared as extras on the Fox drama.
Chicago PD Chief Communications Officer Anthony Guglielmi, however, issued a statement on Thursday saying,
“Media reports about the Empire incident being a hoax are unconfirmed by case detectives. [Superintendent] Eddie Johnson has contacted @ABC7Chicago to state on the record that we have no evidence to support their reporting and their supposed CPD sources are uninformed and inaccurate.”
Supt. Johnson told ABC Chicago that Smollett “is considered a victim and the police investigation is ongoing.”
Empire producer 20th Century Fox Television, meanwhile, issued a statement undercutting the motive for any alleged hoax, saying,
“The idea that Jussie Smollett has been, or would be, written off of Empire is patently ridiculous. He remains a core player on this very successful series and we continue to stand behind him.”
Smollett sought treatment at a hospital in Chicago, where Empire is filmed, following his alleged late-January attack, in which two men supposedly approached the actor/singer and began hurling racist and homophobic slurs at him. According to the original account, the two men beat Smollett, poured a chemical substance (believed to be bleach) on him and tied a noose around his neck before fleeing the scene. Smollett also told police that the assailants “yelled pro-‘Make America Great Again’ [MAGA] comments” during the attack.
Smollett performed at an L.A. concert days after the attack, and appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America this Thursday morning to give his account of the incident, saying that he’s been “forever changed” by it.

Instagram has deleted Daddy Freeze’s account, and the controversial OAP took to his second account to blame pastors for the act.
According to Daddy Freeze, pastors are disturbed that his teachings are disrupting their earnings, hence they are always taking his account down.
He also used the opportunity to throw shade on this set of people by calling them servants of their bellies. Daddy Freeze’s remark was scathing, biting and sarcastic. He wrote;
We have definitely disturbed their business formula and disrupted their earnings, their god who is in their belly has been disgraced and they are raging.

Kanye West signature was forged in $900k scam, that let to many believing he as billed to perform at Philipp Plein’s New York Fashion Week.
There were rumours earlier this week that Ye was to perform at the event, before it was shut down by his wife Kim Kardashian on Twitter.
TMZ is now reporting that Kanye West himself was never contracted for the performance at all; instead, according to their sources, a G.O.O.D. Music associate (and former friend of Kanye’s) misrepresented himself to Plein as Kanye’s rep.
He allegedly negotiated a nearly million dollar contract for Kanye’s performance, including a $900,000 advance, which, according to TMZ, Plein wired to an account associated with the scammer.
He also allegedly forged Kanye’s signature in order to make this hefty transaction happen.
The gossip site also obtained a picture of the contract with Kanye’s forged signature on it and with that of Plein. See the photo below;
They said the money has apparently been cleared out of the account it was sent to by Plein in order to confirm Kanye as the act at his show.

The Flytime Music Festival hosted the largest number of music lovers on the continent from the 21st to the 23 of December 2018. Each day was filled with excitement and thrill found in most international music festivals, and Day 2 which was sponsored by Pepsi and Baba Ijebu was a time travel experience when the legendary Grammy Award winner, Bobby Brown and Bell Biv DeVoe took over the stage.
IK Osakioduwa was the host for the night, as Lagos was blessed with the outstanding, groundbreaking and roller-coaster concert from the legends of R ‘n’ B, as they kicked of their performance with "My Prerogative" just to set the tone that they came ready and prepared for the Lagos crowd. The group continued to deliver back to back hits from Bobby’s solo career, the BBD era, and not forgetting Ricky Bell who delivered his hip-hop flow, smoothed out on an R&B tip with a ‘pop’ feel that sent out all the right vibes.
Flytime Promotions known as being a pacesetter in the live entertainment space raised the bar even higher at the concert. Apart from the time traveling and uplifting experience on the stage, the off-stage experience was ever so memorable.
The room was filled with lovers of old school R 'n' B and the energy was second to none. Attended guests included; Toke Makinwa, Wale Tunubu, Tiwa Savage, Kate Henshaw, Anto Lecky, Amaju Pinnick, Guy Murray-Bruce, Dotun Olakunrin, Lola Oj, Dr. Kemi Dasilva-Ibru, Bisola Aiyeola, Tee-A and many more!
For the first time in the history of concerts in Lagos, all the concertgoers in the General Admission section were upgraded to VIP! The hyped crowd displayed their best versions of running man skills, crazy legs, and every variation on the dance step as it has evolved over time.
The atmosphere at the Eko Hotel Convention Center on the 22nd of December 2018 was truly magical when time went way back and the 1980s was the place to be.
