The leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has reacted to the outcome of the sit-at-home observed across the five South-East states, as well as some parts of Delta and Rivers states, describing it as a clear signal.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Ohanaeze Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro.
He said the 100 percent compliance to the order issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, was an indication that a new leadership had united Ndigbo.

He applauded Ndigbo for what he called, “the new exhibition of Igbo unity, obedience to an emerging new leadership in Southeastern Nigeria and respect for the fallen heroes.”
The Ohanaeze scribe added that, “this development should be a source of worry to constituted authorities at all levels. Igbos have finally sent a clear message to Nigeria.”
He further called on the South-East governors to release all pro-Biafra detainees as part of the June 12 Democracy Day celebration.
“June 12 Democracy Day should be used as an open window for State Pardons and amnesty.

“It’s the finest period for the Federal Government to halt the drift towards anarchy and dialogue with agitators across Middle belt and Southern Nigeria.
“The level of insecurity across the country, especially in southeastern Nigeria should spur the Federal Government to convene a National dialogue without further delay.
“The full compliance to the sit-at-home order is a clue as to what Ndigbo will further do if certain anomalies are not corrected by the government at all levels. Igbos now know their leaders and hypocrites,” he further stated.
