Tammy Abraham is on the verge of signing for Roma from Chelsea, according to Sky Sports.
Romelu Lukaku’s arrival has opened the door for the 23-year-old to join Jose Mourinho’s side.
Abraham completed a medical on Sunday ahead of a £34m move.
Talks progressed positively after Roma general manager Tiago Pinto met the player and his agent in London on Thursday.
The Serie A side believe he will be a key part of boss Mourinho’s plans.
Abraham is expected to sign a five-year contract worth £4m a year after tax.
Chelsea have, however, inserted a €80m buyback option in the deal, which can be triggered in the summer of 2023.
